  Noah had a birthday yesterday–he’s six years old!  Practically an old man.  Happy seventh year, Noah!  (Click on the baby photo to see a startled Noah, age two weeks, give or take a day or two.)

  There’s something oddly beautiful about this.  I’ve been on earthquake watch at Yellowstone during the past week.  They had a big swarm of quakes in the 2.5+ range over the past ten days or so–enough to get many seismologist’s attention.  They’ve centered under Yellowstone Lake, and have slackened off a bit now.  I wonder if any animals noticed the shaking.  Some of the quakes were felt by park officials and winter visitors.
