orrsmill2 falljpg.jpg  This is the trestle we wish we were using.  Someday the train set will be ready to go again.  Until then, we can wait for the fall colors to arrive.  These photos are from a few years ago.

orrsmill3 falljpg.jpg  I hope the colors this year are as grand.

orrsmillroad.jpg  I hear a fungus may dull the bright reds this year throughout New England.  Bummer.

Noah & Claire togetherweb.jpgClaire at Beckys dinerweb.jpg  Claire is in the first grade this year.  Noah is in the third grade.

maine lighthouse bug light.jpg  Sep. 10 saw us in Cape Elizabeth Maine for the ETA’s Maine Lighthouse Ride.  Forty miles and 8 lighthouses.  This was the second of the day, about a tenth of a mile into the ride.  We had a GREAT time.  Ten years ago that week we were riding the Oregon Coast with Joyce and Allan.

higgins beach surf.jpg  More from the ML Ride.  Higgins Beach surfers.  This was about 25 miles into the ride.

ginnys chickensweb.jpg  Ginny’s Five Rhode Island Reds.  These chickens are hilarious.  I didn’t think backyard chickens would be so relaxing to watch.  Portland Tour de Coop, here we come.

Three little eagles, sitting on a nest.

three eagles.jpg     It was a three eagle day.  This is pretty iconic in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.  Three young eagles on the nest.  Wish I had a long lens that day.

Randy Yellowstone 2011.jpg              Driggs Homestead 2011.jpg  Mother is doing her usual fantastic job with the flowers this year.  Dad would be proud.

Randy didn’t like it when I made him smile for this snapshot at the canyon in Yellowstone last month, but he sort of smiled anyway.  I think he was having a good time.
